Rooted in its Anglican and evangelical tradition and open to the breadth of global Christianity, it brings together students from across denominations and backgrounds to study, worship and live in community.

Working in close partnership with Durham University, Cranmer combines theological study with formation for ministry, shaped through prayer, shared life and engagement with the challenges of today’s Church and world. As part of St John’s, Cranmer students are also part of a wider College community, enriching their experience through connections across disciplines, cultures and perspectives.

The day-to-day life in this small friendly community is warm, welcoming and there is particular charm to working in a space that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where scholarship has flourished for a millennium.
