Rebecca Bouveng

As Vice Principal, Rebecca works across strategy, policy and operations, with a focus on building a strong community and supporting students from application through to alumni.

Her portfolio spans student support and the wider student experience, communications and development, alongside delivery of key areas of the College’s strategy. She has a particular interest in translating strategy into clear, engaging communications that reflect the College’s identity and values.

Rebecca is the College’s Designated Safeguarding Officer.

Her PhD research explored messianism in Russian statecraft, geopolitics and identity, with a focus on Putin’s first two terms as President. She has taught international relations at Durham and contributed to the early development of the ECLAS project based at St John’s.
