Set in the heart of Durham’s historic centre, St John’s College offers a distinctive and characterful setting for conferences and events. Nestled among the cobbled streets of the Bailey and within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, our Grade II-listed buildings combine rich heritage with modern facilities.

We host a wide range of events throughout the year, including academic, business, and Church conferences. Our flexible spaces include elegant function rooms in rooms seeped in history, contemporary meeting rooms, and tranquil riverside gardens, all supported by in-house catering and accommodation available outside of term time (July to September).
